To set the scene here's a shot taken from the seawall along Highway 101 in Depoe Bay. That's the entrance to the harbor just behind the concrete breakwater about halfway up the left side of the picture. Looking through the entrance into the harbor. The wide-angle lense makes the harbor look bigger than it really is! The largest boat displayed at the festival was Bill Child's restored 1925 salmon troller Robin.

This nice ski boat is powered by a 215 cu. in. Buick aluminum V-8. Jim Cooper of Albany built this stretched Atkin skiff and... powered it by installing the entire power deck of a riding lawnmower!

Jack Ehrlich from Fairview brought this beautiful little Class C racer... built by Charley Shirley of Newberg in 1950 and powered by a 1956 MK-25 Mercury. Jim Hitchman of Waldport was back again this year with his English style sailing dinghy Skylark, designed and built by Paul Gartside.
