Native watercraft expert Harvey Golden returned... to give more demonstrations of Eskimo rolling. Scott Malvich from Corvallis is building this skin on frame kayak.

Marty Vukonich of Otis built this Geodesic aerolite canoe, and the light dory behind it. Bob Larkin from Corvallis built these two Chesapeake Light Craft canoes, and the Acorn dinghy on the left. Native American woodcarvers Gray Eagle and George Fence of Selma carved this shovelnose canoe.

George Fence. Shovelnose canoes were used on inland waters by many Northwest tribes. The lump in the middle of the canoe is its "heart". The canoe is named Otter Carrier in honor of a carver who died during its construction.
